Five of Swords Tarot Card Meanings

Five of Swords Tarot Card Meanings

305 5 of SwordsIn this image, a pleased looking man picks up swords from the ground in apparent victory, while two dejected figures are in the background.

This image always makes me feel uneasy.  The best way I can describe it is that it is like when you walk into a room after there’s been an argument.  There is that kind of an ‘atmosphere’ to this card.

It is clear to see who the victor is in this situation and who has not come out so well.  The two men near the seafront look downcast and in quite a sorry state while the man in the foreground has a very smug, self-satisfied look on his face.  What did he do?  He seems to have either fought with the other men and won all the swords, or taking them while the men have their backs turned.

This image clearly shows a time of conflict and difficulty.  There are most likely mixed feelings about people and situations here.  There is a devious quality to this card and maybe even a selfish one in how one man can look so happy and continue to collect the swords while the others look so downcast.

These are the Five of Swords tarot card meanings we use in the Free Readings on Aquarian Insight:
